All Wales Deanery training grade doctors and dentists and their approved educational and named clinical supervisors are provided with access to Cardiff University Library’s e-resources and e-mail service.
When you become a trainee, the Wales Deanery will send you details of your username, initial password and e-mail address. Access e-resources and e-mail on the University student intranet. The intranet brings together the resources into one online location; once logged on to the intranet, individual resources will not require another login during that session. Further information can be found in the resources listed below.
Wales Deanery Educational and/or Named Clinical Supervisors in secondary care are also entitled to access Cardiff University Library’s e-resources. On confirmation of your role the Wales Deanery will inform you of your username and initial password. Access e-resources on the University staff intranet. Further information can be found in the resources list below.
Contact the Wales Deanery for queries relating to Cardiff University usernames and passwords.
Connecting to the Cardiff University intranet
Any PC, laptop or mobile device with internet connectivity should allow you to access the intranet, e-resources and e-mail. Sometimes web browsers can affect how e-resources display. If you have any difficulties, try a different browser.

Your Cardiff University username and password allows you to access the University’s wireless (eduroam) service whilst on campus. For further information search the Cardiff University intranet for 'using wireless'. This service is also available over Cardiff and Vale, Abertawe Bro Morgannwg and Aneurin Bevan University Health Boards wi-fi networks.
